London to Haverhill
The journey time from the start of the M11 is approximately 2 hours (although there are roadworks at weekends, which may cause delays). Please allow sufficient time for your journey across London to the start of the motorway.
- London to Haverhill (via M11)
- Travel via M11
- Leave at Junction 9 (road sign reads Haverhill and A11)
- After approx. 3 miles, take slip road to Haverhill
- At roundabout, take third exit marked Haverhill A1307 (some older maps may show this as A604 – it is the same road!)
- Haverhill is a further 11 miles
To Haverhill Arts Centre
In Haverhill (from Cambridge A1307)
- After you go past the town signboard for Haverhill, you will pass Sainsbury's on your right.
- Keep on the main road - after about a mile, you will see a pedestrian crossing (traffic lights)
- immediately afterwards turn right into Eastern Avenue and continue over the brow of the hill down to the bottom of North Avenue.
- Turn Left at the mini roundabout into Burton End.
- At the next mini roundabout take the third exit, Clements Lane. Keep to the main road and at the brow of the hill, you bear left into Duddery Hill.
- Continue down the hill, taking the third left into Helions Walk – this is also marked with a car park sign.
- Walk round to the front entrance of the Arts Centre in the High Street.
